Living to Make Him Known
We make Christ known first in the way we show our love for Him and one another. We strive to love each other as Christ has loved us. And we are able to do this because “God first loved us” (1 John 4.19). At the same time, we take this love into the world so that we fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28.19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” So we are to make Him known as we go, as we go about the life He gave us. We do this by living according to His Word and communicating with Him through prayer. We show our love for Him and his people by sharing the message of Christ everywhere we go, and by serving a world in need in His name. It is our hope that one day God’s kingdom will come (Luke 11.2) and that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord” (Philippians 2.10-11).

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
