In Romans 5:9 the Holy Scriptures says "Therefore being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."

It is a wonderful privilege to be justified. This is a work that only GOD can do. The word simply means that GOD has forgiven us of our sins and we are declared to be righteous. The Holy Scriptures declares that every true believer has been given an imputed righteousness.

In Romans 4:1-8 the Bible says "what shall we say then that Abraham our father as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he would have somewhat to glory; but not before GOD. For what does the Scriptures say? Abraham believed GOD and it was counted to him for righteousness. Now to him who depends on works is the reward not reckoned of grace but of debt, but to him that does not depend on works but believes on him that justifies the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David describes the blessedness of the man, to whom GOD imputes righteousness without works. Saying blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD will not impute sin."

Yes, we are blessed. Yes, our sins are covered. We have been given an imputed righteousness. GOD has placed the righteousness of Christ upon us. We are righteous before GOD. We are justified. So many people think if only their good deeds outweigh their bad deeds they will be accepted before GOD. Nothing could be further from the truth. Faith in the finished work of Christ is the only thing that makes us acceptable to GOD. Believe on the crucified son of GOD and be saved. And what are we saved from? The wrath of GOD. How awesome that terrible punishment will be. The Bible teaches that all unbelievers will be cast into a lake of fire that will continue for eternity. No one can understand the awfulness of that punishment, but it is great. The Bible says "Flee from the wrath that is to come."

The people of GOD should continually give thanks to GOD for His mercy and grace that allows us to be accepted in Christ. All praise to His Holy Name. Amen
