Baptism
Baptism is an ordinance commanded by Jesus for the church (Matt. 28:19-20).
It is an outward symbol of our inward cleansing through God’s identification of us with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-7).
Baptism by immersion in water is a beautiful picture of the believer's identification with Jesus' burial and resurrection.
Because baptism is a symbol of a person’s identification with Christ, we do not baptize infants or others who have not professed belief in Jesus.

Child Dedication
Here at Faith Bible Church, we place a high priority on the value of family. Parents are the primary spiritual influencers of their children.
Deuteronomy 6:6-9 provides the model whereby parents disciple their children.
It starts with parents having God’s commandments on their own hearts, and they then teach their children about God
by modeling faith for them and by having discussions about Him as they talk about Him all the time.
We recognize that parenting is difficult, and that God provides His church as a community to help parents teach their children.
When we observe a “child dedication”, it’s really more of a parent, grandparent, and congregation dedication than a child dedication.
Parents dedicate themselves to live faithfully in the light of God’s Word before their child and to teach their children about Jesus.
Grandparents agree to influence their grandchild for Christ.
We, the congregation, commit to supporting the parents by providing encouragement, counsel, resources, and ministries to help guide them and their children in the ways of godliness.
All of this for the glory of God and in the hope that the child will grow to know and to love our Savior, Jesus.
