tell a friend about jesus outreach

Just because there’s COVID-19 out there, it doesn’t mean we’re going to stop sharing God’s love with others. People need to know God loves them, maybe now more than ever, and we can model His peace, hope, and joy to them. Since a lot of people are cautious about going places these days, we want to find creative ways to reach out and initiate conversations about Jesus.

We have begun a Candy drive to collect candy to give each SS and Awana kiddo a bag AND also a bag to share with a friend that has candy, a gospel message, and an invitation to join us in-person or through our many online options and resources. On Nov, 1 the Sunday morning kids will receive their candy bags and we will distribute to the Awana kids later that day at our Costume Night at Awana (in lieu of Trunk or Treat this year). When they share the candy, kids can tell their friends about their church or Awana and say what they are learning, could possibly point them to the website, or even share the gospel!

Then on Nov. 8 we will have a testimony time when all can share with their SS group or Awana club what happened when they shared the love of Christ during the week. The adults and teen helpers are encouraged to share their own stories too.

Thank you for contributing candy and for praying for the kiddos as they tell a friend about Jesus!

This is the gospel message tract we will include in the bags.
