YOUR COMFORT BRINGS ME JOY
“When I am filled with cares, your comfort brings me joy.” Psalms 94:19 (CSB)
God is so good to His children. As believers we can experience shalom peace, which is not conditional based on our situation but can even be experienced in the midst of the storm. How awesome is it that we can be comforted with joy from the Lord when we are anxious and filled with cares?
While the world provides temporary joy and conditional peace, those who do not know the Lord have not experienced the depth of God’s comfort, joy, and peace. Jesus said in John 14:27 (CSB), “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” Have you experienced this transition from anxiety and cares to peace, comfort and joy? When we experience God’s peace, comfort and joy, that can be part of our testimony to those around us.
If you have given your life to the Lord Jesus but are struggling with anxiety, please ask a friend to pray with and for you, for we are here to carry one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). And remember Philippians 4:6-7 (CSB), “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.“
My prayer today is that your cares will be replaced with God’s comfort, joy, and peace.
