LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS WITH THE GOSPEL

Many folks we meet everyday don’t understand that Jesus is the King of Kings and ruler over all things both in heaven and on earth. They also have not heard that Jesus is appointed as the One who will judge the world in righteousness on a day that has already been set.

As the Apostle Paul went on his missionary journeys and also while under arrest, he “proclaimed the Kingdom of God and taught about Jesus” (Acts 28:31). An important truth to help unsaved folks understand is that Jesus not only died for their sins on the cross, but He is also the appointed Judge who will hold them accountable for their sins by holding them to the high and unattainable standard of perfect righteousness.

They have a choice to make: they can either receive Jesus as their Savior or face Him as their Judge. They can either trust in Jesus and His death on their behalf and who suffered in their place, or receive eternal punishment as they suffer for their own sins.

This is a sobering message that we share with compassion, patience, gentleness and love for the unsaved. Love for God and love for our neighbors compels us to tell the Good News to everyone. How can I say I love my neighbors and yet keep the way to be saved to myself? Lord Jesus, You are King of Kings, and may we seek first Your Kingdom and Your Righteousness this week. Love You Lord.
