LOVE IS WANTING GOOD FOR OTHERS (ALL OTHERS)

God’s love for us and others is so deep and high and wide. God loved the world so much that He sent His Son Jesus, the one and only time God became a human. In Jesus, God demonstrated His love for us. He suffered and died on the cross to open the only way to be saved. This was the one and only time God made a way to be saved. There are many false religions that say there are other ways to be saved or to go to heaven. These religions or false beliefs claim either Jesus is not the only way or that He is not a way at all. God takes unbelief in Jesus very seriously by saying it is like trampling the Son of God into the ground. The love of God, however, is patient with His worst enemies. He may give them a long lifetime to turn from unbelief to trusting in His Son.

Now as believers we have the love of God poured into our hearts by the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit. We experience showers of blessings every moment of every day. We thank God for helping us day by day in every trial as we now have prayerful access to His throne of mercy. We are overflowing with His love so that we joyfully seek the lost. We gladly tell others about Jesus, who is the one and only means to escape God’s wrath and judgment for sin. LOVE means not wanting others to go to hell. LOVE means wanting the good of others. Lord Jesus, help us to want the good and not the bad of others. We love you, our Wonderful Counselor, Emmanuel, Constant Companion, and Friend. Amen.
