THE BLESSINGS OF THE RIGHTEOUS

Psalms 5:11-12 "But let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice. Let them ever shout for joy because You defend them. Let them also that love Your name be joyful in Thee. For You, Lord, will bless the righteous. With favor You will compass him as with a shield."

The child of GOD has ever right to be joyful in the Lord. Why are we to be so happy and joyful in our GOD? We have been chosen by GOD to be blessed with favor. Preverbs 10:22 states "The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow." We have been forgiven of all our transgressions. Psalms 103:12 states "as far as the East is from the West, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." What a blessing to know that all our sin has been pardoned. We have been placed in Christ and given an imputed righteousness. We have a legal standing in Christ. We are complete in Christ. We lack nothing in regard to GOD'S demands in order to go to heaven. Please consider how blessed we are. We are accepted in GOD'S beloved Son. W e are blessed with favor.

He blesses us also with the privilege of walking with Him in daily fellowship and communion. What a wonderful blessing of favor of having the blessed Holy Spirit abiding in our life. The privilege of walking with GOD and knowing Him on a personal basis. What a special blessing of spiritual favor and blessing that GOD gives to His elect. We have been delivered from the wrath of GOD that will one day be experienced by those who reject the gospel invitation of forgiveness and salvation.

I could weep for those who will experience the awesome wrath of GOD. They are not blessed. They are cursed with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord. Matthew 25:46 states "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment but the righteous into life eternal." That is why believers should rejoice in the Lord. Let them ever shout for joy. We have been redeemed. We experience the favor of the Lord - now and forever more. Let the redeemed of the Lord rejoice forever in our GOD and the wonderful salvation that is ours in Christ Jesus. Bless his Holy name!
