GOD CHOOSES THE NOBODIES

I Corinthians 1:26-31
“For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.””

God generally chooses the nobodies, so be careful not to boast in the presence of God  about men. Don’t boast about human achievements and powers and eloquence, but instead, as it is written in verse 31, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

I wish I could remember where I first read that “God generally chooses the nobodies.” I saw it again on Google about ten days ago. Now, I had already decided what I was going do my blog on then, but this thought kept coming back to mind. “God generally chooses the nobodies.” Hmm! I never thought I would ever hear myself say these words, but…I am so grateful that God considers me a nobody!

“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
