MODEL JESUS LIFE FOR YOUR CHILDREN
Proverbs 20:7 “A righteous man who walks in integrity – How blessed are his sons after him.”
This proverb was such an encouragement to me this morning! I often find myself wondering if I’m doing all that I can to set my kids up for success in life. But it is so import to define success biblically! If I’m not careful, worry about finances, education, and careers can quickly flood my thoughts. The fact is, that these are not security, but merely tools the Lord gives us to build His Kingdom…and that Kingdom is where our kids will find true security. There is nothing that I desire more than seeing my own children learning to walk as Jesus walked and living to make Him known. But this begins with me. I must demonstrate walking as Jesus walked--with integrity, following His model, so that my children can be confident to follow me. That is the kind of inheritance I want to leave my children. That is true wealth and security.
