GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES
The beginning of 1 Kings 1 tells us of the final conflicts of King David and his son Adonijah who wanted to be king. This took place after David had promised that Solomon would be the next king. This conflict had many individuals supporting Adonijah and was opposed by Nathan the prophet and David’s own bodyguard among many others. Nathan had Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother, remind King David of his vow that Solomon would be the next king. God kept his promise -- in his final days David decreed Solomon as king. Today we still have God’s promises for us -- He will be with us always. Even when we are discouraged and things seem to be against us and impossible to solve or save, our God keeps His promises.
