GRACE THAT IS GREATER THAN ALL OUR SINS

We read in Psalm chapter 106 the depths of the Israelites rebellion against the Lord.  It describes how their failure to wipe out the Canaanites completely led to their worshiping idols and even sacrificing their own children to these idols.  They suffered oppression under their enemies because of their rebellion and disobedience.  And yet we see in verses 44 through 48, the Lord hears their cry and has compassion and mercy on them and delivers them.

As believers, we should remember that God’s grace and mercy is there for us when we turn from our sin, confess it, and follow the Lord again.

As one of my favorite hymns says, “Grace, grace, God’s grace, Grace that will pardon and cleanse within; Grace, grace, God’s grace, Grace that is greater than all our sin!”
