CHILDREN & STUDENT MINISTRIES
The Faith Bible Church App is an amazing thing! This morning as I walked I listened to today’s One Year Bible selections multiple times as the App read them to me! The very first thing I heard was from 2 Chronicles 24:1, “Joash was seven years old when he became king…Joash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days of Johoiada the priest.” Joash certainly was not a perfect king….he later did abominable things as king. But he had a good beginning and he started very young. I believe the Lord values children and students! Faith Bible Church has always valued children and students and ministry to them.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Mt. 19:14). We believe the Lord wants to use children and students in His kingdom work. We do not believe that there is a magic age at which children or students suddenly transition from being a group only to be watched and entertained to valued, serving members of the Body of Christ. We believe children and students can and should be taught the Scriptures. We believe young people can and should serve inside and outside the Body of Christ. And we believe children and students can and should be introduced to Jesus at an early age. Faith Bible Church has always valued children and students and ministry to them.
As a consequence of our commitment to children and students, leadership has been busy considering exactly how to open up Faith’s Nursery, Children’s Ministry and Student Ministry areas safely and soon! We love young people and believe in their future potential as well as their potential TODAY! Pray for Faith’s leadership as they desire to serve children and their families, safely minister to students and seek the Lord for wisdom and guidance!
