REMEMBER GOD'S PROMISES

We are reminded of how difficult these last months have been with many issues facing our nation, our church, our families and loved ones.  These passages from the Old Testament give us hope and guidance from the final days of King David to the issues of Solomon becoming king. Many of these issues that King David and Solomon faced over 2,000 years ago remain with us today.  Our inheritance and blessings from God remain with us. David’s charge and God’s promise are both to make Solomon king in spite of the false King Adonijah’s claim to the throne. David’s death follows Adonijah’s and we see God’s promise fulfilled.

We need to remember the promises of God through King David and then Solomon. We need to remain faithful and trust and follow the words and examples of both King David and Solomon as we deal and struggle during these difficult times.
