WATCHMAN

How often have we heard some say; “The way of the Lord is not just”.{Ezekiel 33:20 NIV} How often have we heard these words come from the mouths of those who refuse to follow the warnings of the watchman.

Watchman

In the thirty third chapter of Ezekiel, we see Ezekiel called to be a watchman. In his role, he was to warn of the coming wrath of our Lord. The precious Ezekiel did what the Lord called him to do! And though Ezekiel detailed the wages of sin; man still refused to recognize that their ways were unjust.

Just like today, man will refuse to acknowledge their sins instead choosing to blame our Lord for all of their problems.

Just as Ezekiel

If you are reading this and you call Jesus Christ, Lord; you too are a watchman. Just as our Lord said to Ezekiel; “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.” {Ezekiel 33:7 NIV}

We are called to warn of the wages of sin, we are called to warn of the things that must shortly come to pass.

Finally watchman, never forget that our Lord is just, man is unjust and the unjust man must turn from wickedness. For our God will judge each one according to his own ways.{Ezekiel 33:20 NIV}
