OUR REDEMPTION

For God’s people in the Old Testament there were many rules and regulations that had to be followed.  Through Christ, God forgave us our sins, cancelling the written code of the law with its regulations and nailed it to the cross.  These things were just a shadow of what was to come.  God has set us free from these outward acts through Christ’s death.  Let’s not think then that we are justified and redeemed through empty adherence to a set of regulations which only can give us a false sense of humility and may make us look “good” in the eyes of others, because that’s as far as it goes.  Our redemption is through Christ and Him alone.
