THE LORD'S REMINDERS

The Lord has been reminding me of two things in the last year or so.  In Psalm 95 and 96, both of them are brought to mind.
Psalm 95:2a – “Let us come before Him with thanksgiving…”
Psalm 96:2b-3 – “proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.”

The Lord asks us to do two things throughout Scripture.
  • Be thankful – Here are a couple of verses:  Phil. 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  I Thess. 5:18 “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
  • Proclaim Him – 2 Cor. 5:19c-20a “And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors.  Philemon 1:6 “I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.”  Wow – sharing our faith gives us more understanding!!
I want to be more thankful for all the Lord has done and is doing and just of who He is!!  And I want to proclaim Him to those around me!  May we remember this as we go through our days!
