GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
Psalms 136:1-3 says, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, For His loving kindness last forever. give thanks to the God of gods for His loving kindness last forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His loving kindness last forever.”
The first three verses remind us that God is good, He is God of gods and Lord of lords.
Over and over in this chapter I see how God has provided and takes care of Israel. These verses give me security to know that God is in control and we can be confident in Him that He will take care of us and provide for us under all conditions. Times are hard right now but we need to remember that God is in control of everything in the universe and no matter how hard it may seem at times it is all part of His plan.
Lord, I pray that no matter how hard things get and how upside down this world seems at times that I will be confident in You and know that You will provide. I pray for peace in my heart, and that I would know that You are the God of Heaven and Your loving kindness last forever.
